Children are starving and they need your help.
Across Yemen, Somalia, South Sudan, and Nigeria, millions of people could die from hunger and malnutrition in the weeks and months ahead.
In particular, 1.4 million children are suffering from severe malnutrition and are at risk of dying if we don’t act now.
Sign the petition to call on world leaders to urgently pledge enough money to stop and prevent the famine.
These children desperately need medical attention, food and clean water – and are also in need of a safe place to call home. UN agencies and their partners are trying to respond the best they can, but they need additional funds to to do so. They need to be able to access areas where, in many cases, vulnerable people are trapped and cut off by civil war and conflict.
It is estimated that the UN needs $4.4 billion by the end of March to prevent severe hunger and famine in Yemen, Somalia, South Sudan, and Nigeria. On February 24, 2017 at the Oslo Humanitarian Conference for Nigeria and the Lake Chad region, donors pledged $672 million for food security, education and protection. But billions more are needed to prevent millions of people entering into famine.
UN agencies responding to these crisis situations need more funding. Sign the petition to tell world leaders to end this crisis now.
